:2. YHWH, my God, in you have I sought refuge!
:Save me from all who chase me, and rescue me!
:3. Lest he maul me like a lion,
:tearing me apart, without anyone to rescue me!
:4. YHWH, my God, if I have done this,
:if there is injustice in my hands,
:5. if I have repaid my friend evil,
:or have delivered my foe without reason,
:6. may the enemy chase and overtake me,
:trample my life to the ground
:and make my glory dwell in the dust! ''Selah''.
:7. Rise up, YHWH, in your anger!
:Lift yourself up against the outbursts of my foes!
:And wake up for my sake, because of the commandment that you commanded.
:8. And let a gathering of nations surround you!
:Then return over it, high above!
:9. YHWH judges people;
:vindicate me, YHWH,
:according to my righteousness—my integrity within me!
:10. Let the evil of the wicked come to an end,
:and make the righteous permanent!
:The righteous God is
:one who examines the innermost parts.
:11. My shield is held by God,
:who saves the upright in heart.
:12. God is a just judge,
:and a god delivering punishment each day.
:13. If the wicked does not repent, YHWH will sharpen his sword.
:He has bent his bow, and prepared it.
:14. And he has prepared deadly weapons for the wicked.
:He will make his arrows firebrands.
:15. Pay attention! The wicked conceives evil deeds,
:is pregnant with wrongdoing, and gives birth to lies.
:16. He began to dig a pit, and kept digging it,
:and fell into the pit he was making.
:17. His wrongdoing will return upon his head,
:his violence will come down on the crown of his head.
:18. I shall praise YHWH according to his righteousness!

:4. As for what people do, by the word of your lips
:I have restrained violent behavior,
:5. my steps persisting in your ways.
:My feet have not slipped.

:7. Carry out your covenant acts wondrously, deliverer of those who take refuge
:at your right hand from their adversaries.
:8. Guard me like the apple of your eye!
:You must hide me in the shade of your wings
:9. from wicked people who have been violent toward me,

:4. The rejected one is despised in his opinion,
:and he honours those who fear YHWH.
:Having sworn so as to harm himself,
:he will not change.
:5. He has not given his money with interest,
:and has not taken a bribe against an innocent person.

:The dew, your young men, [will come] into your possession.

:2. When evildoers came near against me to to devour my flesh,

:3. If an army should encamp against me, my heart will not fear.
:If war should rise against me, in this I will keep trusting.
:4. One thing I hereby ask of YHWH; I will seek it:
:that I may take a seat in the house of YHWH every day of my life,
:in order to gaze on the beauty of YHWH, and in order to contemplate in his temple.

:He will hide me in the hiding place of his tent. He will lift me up on a rock.

:and be merciful to me and answer me!

:15. Their swords will go into their own hearts

:16. A little belonging to the righteous person is better
:than the abundance of many wicked people.
:17. For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
:but YHWH is upholding the righteous.
:18. YHWH knows the days of the blameless,
:and their inheritance will be forever.
:19. They will not come to shame during hard times,
:and they will eat their fill during times of famine.
:20. For the wicked will perish,
:and YHWH’s enemies [will perish] like flowers in a pasture.
:They are finished like smoke! They are finished!
:21. The wicked person is borrowing and will not repay,
:but the righteous person is giving generously.
:22. For those blessed by him will possess the land,
:and those cursed by him will be destroyed.
:23. When a person’s steps are made steadfast by YHWH,
:then he will be pleased with his way.
:24. When he falls, he will not fall flat,
:because YHWH is supporting his hand.
:25. I was once a young man, and now I am old,
:and I have not seen a righteous person abandoned
:or his children looking for food.
:26. He is always lending generously,
:and his children will become a blessing.
:27. Turn away from evil and do good,
:and you will reside forever!

:29. Your God has commanded your strength.
:Show your strength, God,You who have acted for us!
:30. Because of your temple [which is] above Jerusalem,
:kings will bring gifts to you.
:31. Rebuke the beast of the reed, the herd of bulls among the calves—the people—
:those who trample down others by crushing them for silver!
:He has scattered people that delight in battles.
:32. Nobles will come from Egypt.
:Cush will hasten his hands towards God.
:33. Sing to God, kingdoms of the earth!

:when YHWH had rescued him out of the palm of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said,
:2.“I shall keep loving you, YHWH, my strength.
:YHWH is my cleft and my fortress and my rescuer.
:3. My God is my rock, in him do I seek protection,
:my shield and the horn of my deliverance,
:my fortified tower and my refuge,
:my deliverer, who delivers me from violence.
:4. I cry out to YHWH, since he is praiseworthy,
:and I am delivered from my enemies.
:5. The breaker waves of Death surrounded me.
:And the torrents of Beliya’al began to overwhelm me.
:6. The cords of Sheol entangled me.
:Death’s traps rushed upon me.
:7. In my distress I cry out to YHWH.
:and to my God do I cry for help.
:He hears my cry from his temple.
:And my cry for help before him comes into his ears.
:8. And the earth quivered and quaked.

:And they trembled. For he had become angry.
:9. Smoke went up because of his snarl.
:And a fire from his mouth began to consume.
:Coals burned from him.
:10. And he bent down the heavens and descended.
:And a dark smog was beneath his feet.
:11. And he mounted a Cherub and began to fly.
:And he flew swiftly upon the wings of the wind.
:12. He made darkness his cover.

:the sieve of water, thick clouds of the skies.
:13. Because of the brightness before him,
:hail and coals of fire passed.
:14. And YHWH thundered in the heavens.
:And the Most High began to raise his voice.
:15. And he shot his arrows, and dispersed them.

:16. And the ocean floor appeared.
:And the foundations of the world were revealed
:because of your rebuke, YHWH,
:because of the blast of the wind of your anger.
:17. He stretched forth [his hand] from on high and took me.
:He pulled me out from many waters.
:18. He rescued me from my strong enemy.
:And [he rescued me] from those who hate me. For they were too powerful for me.
:19. They rushed upon me at the time of my calamity.
:And YHWH was the one in whom I trusted.
:20. And he brought me out into relief.
:He delivered me. For he is pleased with me.
:21. YHWH deals well with me according to my righteousness.
:He repays me according to the cleanliness of my hands.
:22. For I have kept the ways of YHWH.
:And I have not turned away from my God towards wicked ways.
:23. For all of his rules are before me.
:And I will not turn his decrees away from me.
:24. And I have become blameless before him.
:And I have kept myself from committing iniquity.
:25. And YHWH has repaid me according to my righteousness,
:according to the cleanliness of my hands before his eyes.
:26. You act faithfully with a faithful person.
:You act blamelessly with a blameless person.
:27. You act with purity with one who purifies himself.
:And with a twisted person you act wittily.
:28. For you save a humble people
:And you bring down eyes that look down on others.
:29. For you light my lamp, YHWH.
:My God gives light to my darkness.
:30. For by you I can route an army.
:and by my God I can scale a wall.
:31. God—His way is perfect.
:The sayings of YHWH are true.
:He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
:32. For who is God besides YHWH?
:And who is a rock besides our God,
:33. the God who arms me with strength
:and makes my endeavour secure?
:34. He makes my feet like those of deer
:And he causes me to stand upon my heights.
:35. He trains my hands for war.
:And he strengthens my arms with a bow of bronze.
:36. And you give me the shield of your victory.
:And your right hand supports me.
:And your help makes me great.
:37. You enlarged my steps underneath me.
:And my ankles did not falter.
:38. I chased my enemies and I overtook them.
:and I would not relent until their destruction.
:39. I violently beat them. And they could not stand.
:They fell beneath my feet.
:40. And you equipped me with strength for war.
:You make those who rise up against me kneel underneath me.
:41. And you have made my enemies retreat from me.
:And as for those who hate me, I wipe them out.

:44. You will deliver me from people’s indictments.
:You will make me head of nations.
:A people I do not know will serve me.
:45. As soon as they hear the rumors of me they will show obedience to me.
:Foreigners will submit to me.
:46. Foreigners will lose heart.
:and tremble from their fortresses.
:47. YHWH lives! And my rock is blessed!
:And the God of my rescue is exalted!
:48. God—who gives me vengeance,
:and subdues peoples underneath me.
:49. You who deliver me from my enemies
:will indeed exalt me over those who rise up against me.
:You will rescue me from the violent man.
:50. Therefore, I shall praise you among the nations, YHWH!
:And I shall sing praise to your name,
:51. you who makes the deliverance of his king spectacular,
:and performs acts of loyalty for his anointed one,
:for David, and for his seed, forever.”

:2. I will praise YHWH with all my heart;
:I will tell about all your wonderful works!
:3. I will rejoice and exult because of you;

:4. When my enemies turn back,
:they stumble and perish because of your presence,
:5. because you have accomplished my right and my claim;
:you have sat on a throne as a righteous judge.
:6. You rebuked nations; you destroyed the wicked;
:you blotted out their name forever and ever.

:Tell about his deeds among the peoples,
:13. because the one who requires a reckoning for bloodshed has remembered them;

:14. Have mercy on me, YHWH! See my affliction from those who hate me,
:you who lift me up from the gates of death,

:at the gates of daughter Zion,

:16. Nations sank in a pit which they had made;
:their foot was caught in a net which they had hidden.
