Overview
There are three participants/characters in Psalm 29:
- the earth
- YHWH
- righteous
Participant Relations
The relationships among the participants may be abstracted and summarised as follows:
- The earth belongs to YHWH, who established it upon the sea and maintains its stability for his people, Jacob, who rightly worship and seek him with integrity, welcoming him as king over creation. Those who receive his blessing will enter into the presence of their glorious king on his holy mountain.
