Versioning
Creator Guidelines
Document current version
The versioning system depends on all the Creator Guidelines having milestones. The current version is now the maximum version number (rather than the former Version=x.x
specified in each Creator Guidelines page), e.g.
{{Milestone | 55448 |Assumptions Table in Discourse Spreadsheet; updated imagery tables|Sep 2024|1.1}}

1. Actual forum code that constitutes a rubric is stored in a template, e.g. Template:Rubrics/Grammar.
|Guardian Review|Overseer Review|Final Checks|Description| | --- | --- | --- | --- | ||||**Completeness** |[ ]||| Every word in the psalm is represented in the diagram. |[ ]|[ ]|| Viable and attested grammatical alternatives are represented in the diagram. |[ ]|[ ]|| Textual variants, revocalizations, and emendations are represented in the diagram if they are preferred, significant, or attested in modern translations. |[ ]|[ ]|| Difficulties, alternatives, revocalizations, and emendations are explained with prose notes.| ||||**Quality of analysis** |[ ]|[ ]|| Every word in the psalm is accurately encoded and diagrammed according to project standards. |[ ]|[ ]|[ ]| In the case of difficulties, alternatives, revocalizations, and emendations, each view is thoroughly explained and defended with a note. |[ ]|[ ]|[ ]| The preferred view is viable and well grounded in evidence.| ||||**Engagement with secondary literature** |[ ]|[ ]|| Standard reference grammars (e.g., GKC, JM, IBHS, BHRG) are cited where relevant. |[ ]|[ ]|[ ]| Bible translations (ancient and modern) are cited where relevant. When two or more translations reflect a certain interpretation of the grammar, that interpretation is represented on the diagram.| ||||**Clarity of language** |[ ]|[ ]|[ ]| Prose notes are clear and concise. |[ ]|[ ]|[ ]| Language is not too technical so as to be inaccessible to [Sarah](https://psalms.scriptura.org/w/Personas).| ||||**Formatting/Style** |[ ]||| Diagram is properly titled. |[ ]||| Each verse in the diagram is properly labeled. |[ ]||| The diagrammed text has vowels but no accents or maqqephs. |[ ]|[ ]|| Proposed changes to the text are properly represented. |[ ]|[ ]|| Alternatives are properly represented. |[ ]|[ ]|| Any remaining display problems relating to the diagrammer are flagged for further development. |[ ]||| Correct spelling and punctuation are used throughout the prose notes. |[ ]||| Notes adhere to the [Style Guide](https://psalms.scriptura.org/w/Style_Guide).|
2. Within each set of Creator Guidelines, the following code will include the current version (for Grammar, here) in the rubric to be copied onto the forum. (This depends on the rubric content being present in the template, e.g. Template:Rubrics/Grammar.)

Milestones
These Creator Guideliness have additional milestones (click Expand for a full list). As time progresses, we will distinguish between major milestones (indicating major versions) and minor milestones (indicating minor versions). In general, major milestones are those which indicate a significant rupture, such that it would not be expected that somebody familiar with a previous version could readily understand the next version. A minor milestone, however, would be an aesthetic change or readily understood terminological change.
When a new milestone is reached, it is to be recorded within the Creator Guidelines as an additional line within the Creator Guidelines, as below. The 5-digit number is the "oldid" of the Creator Guidelines when viewing history.
== Previous Versions of these guidelines == These are the previous versions of the guidelines that mark significant milestones in our project history. Future versions will be numbered and will correspond to materials approved according to those guidelines. {{Milestone | 12553 | Logos diagrammer/CGs creation|June 2022}} {{Milestone | 24685 | First simple code diagrammer |July 2023}} {{Milestone | 52116 | Second simple code diagrammer |Sept 2024|1.0}} {{Milestone | 66743 | Straight to wiki |Feb 2025|1.1}}

Psalms with approved layers
Each Psalm will have subpages, e.g. Psalm 1/Approvals/Grammar and Psalm 1/Approvals/Lexical, which will contain the current Version and Status, e.g.
{{Layer |Version=0.99 |Status=Approved }}
The status for these is set according to layer.
Grammatical, Lexical and Phrasal
On each Diagrams page is an Appendix with an Approvals section. (E.g. Psalm 1/Diagrams)
Verbal and beyond
When these layers are properly represented on the Resource Site, their pages will have a similar feature.
Actual layers
These are all the layers currently marked with version number and status.
