For the alternative revocalization נֹד for the MT's נֵד, see the LXX's ἀσκὸν "wineskin," most plausibly from נאֹד/נֹד (see the same phenomenon in Ps 33:7).[1] Hebrew evidence for the reading נֹד is also found in the Babylonian manuscripts JTS 611 and 631.

  1. See also TgPss' זיקא, which is forced to provide the elliptical צרירין היך זיקא "bound like skin bottles" (Stec 2004, 151) and the Syr. ܒܙܩ̈ܐ, which is forced to provide the elliptical ܐܝܟ ܕܒܙܩ̈ܐ "as though in bottles" (Taylor 2020, 315).
