שִׁגָּי֗וֹן לְדָ֫וִ֥ד אֲשֶׁר־שָׁ֥ר לַיהוָ֑ה עַל־דִּבְרֵי־כ֝֗וּשׁ בֶּן־יְמִינִֽי׃	1a	A shiggayon by David that he sang to YHWH concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite.
יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי בְּךָ֣ חָסִ֑יתִי הוֹשִׁיעֵ֥נִי מִכָּל־רֹ֝דְפַ֗י וְהַצִּילֵֽנִי׃	1b	YHWH, my God, in you have I sought refuge; save me from all who chase me, and rescue me!
פֶּן־יִטְרֹ֣ף כְּאַרְיֵ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י פֹּ֝רֵ֗ק וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל׃	1c	Lest he maul me like a lion, tearing apart, without anyone to rescue (me)!
יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי אִם־עָשִׂ֣יתִי זֹ֑את אִֽם־יֶשׁ־עָ֥וֶל בְּכַפָּֽי׃	1d	YHWH, my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice in my hands,
אִם־גָּ֭מַלְתִּי שֽׁוֹלְמִ֥י רָ֑ע וָאֲחַלְּצָ֖ה צוֹרְרִ֣י רֵיקָֽם׃	1e	if I have repaid my friend evil, or have delivered my foe without reason,
יִֽרַדֹּ֥ף אוֹיֵ֨ב נַפְשִׁ֡י וְיַשֵּׂ֗ג וְיִרְמֹ֣ס לָאָ֣רֶץ חַיָּ֑י וּכְבוֹדִ֓י לֶעָפָ֖ר יַשְׁכֵּ֣ן סֶֽלָה׃	1f	may the enemy chase and overtake me, trample my life to the ground, and make my glory dwell in the dust! Selah.
ק֘וּמָ֤ה יְהוָ֨ה בְּאַפֶּ֗ךָ הִ֭נָּשֵׂא בְּעַבְר֣וֹת צוֹרְרָ֑י וְע֥וּרָה אֵ֝לַ֗י מִשְׁפָּ֥ט צִוִּֽיתָ׃	1g	Rise up, YHWH, in your anger! Lift yourself up against the outbursts of my foes! Wake up, for my sake, because of the commandment that you commanded!
וַעֲדַ֣ת לְ֭אֻמִּים תְּסוֹבְבֶ֑ךָּ וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ לַמָּר֥וֹם שֽׁוּבָה׃	1h	And let a gathering of nations surround you! Then return over it, high above!
יְהוָה֮ יָדִ֪ין עַ֫מִּ֥ים שָׁפְטֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה כְּצִדְקִ֖י וּכְתֻמִּ֣י עָלָֽי׃	1i	YHWH judges people. Vindicate me, YHWH, according to my righteousness—my integrity within me!
יִגְמָר־נָ֬א רַ֨ע רְשָׁעִים֮ וּתְכוֹנֵ֪ן צַ֫דִּ֥יק וּבֹחֵ֣ן לִ֭בּ֗וֹת וּכְלָי֗וֹת אֱלֹהִ֥ים צַדִּֽיק׃	1j	Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and make the righteous permanent! The one who examines the innermost parts is the righteous God.
מָֽגִנִּ֥י עַל־אֱלֹהִ֑ים מ֝וֹשִׁ֗יעַ יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃	1k	My shield is held by God, who saves the upright in heart.
