  • Instead of the MT reading שְׁמַ֤ע קֹ֣ול (“hear the voice of...”), the Byzantine tradition of the Greek text and Jerome’s translation (Psalmi Iuxta Hebr.) add “O Lord” (κύριε, Domine) as if reading שְׁמַ֤ע יְהוָ֖ה (“Hear, O Lord”) most likely due to harmonization with Ps 27:7 שְׁמַע־יְהוָ֖ה קֹולִ֥י אֶקְרָ֗א ("Hear me, O LORD, when I cry out!"[1]).
