- Most translations interpret my good (טוֹבָתִי) as the subject of the clause: "my good is not above/beyond you" (see v. 2b alternative diagram). It is more likely, however, that "my good" (טוֹבָתִי) is in apposition to "my Lord:" "You are my Lord, my good." The words בַּל עָלֶיךָ then constitute their own clause: "There is no one above you."
