זֹ֣את נֶחָמָתִ֣י בְעָנְיִ֑י	50a	This is my consolation in my suffering:
כִּ֖י אִמְרָתְךָ֣ חִיָּֽתְנִי׃	50b	that your word has kept me alive.
זֵ֭דִים הֱלִיצֻ֣נִי עַד־מְאֹ֑ד	51a	Arrogant people have completely derided me.
מִ֝תּֽוֹרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א נָטִֽיתִי׃	51b	I have not turned from your teaching.
זָ֘כַ֤רְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶ֖יךָ מֵעוֹלָ֥ם ׀ יְהוָ֗ה	52a	I remember your decisions,
מֵעוֹלָ֥ם ׀ יְהוָ֗ה	52b	which are from eternity, YHWH
וָֽאֶתְנֶחָֽם׃	52c	and I am comforted.
זַלְעָפָ֣ה אֲ֭חָזַתְנִי מֵרְשָׁעִ֑ים עֹ֝זְבֵ֗י תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃	53	Rage has seized me because of wicked people, those who reject your teaching.
זְ֭מִרוֹת הָֽיוּ־לִ֥י חֻקֶּ֗יךָ בְּבֵ֣ית מְגוּרָֽי׃	54	Your decrees have become my songs during my sojourning.
זָ֘כַ֤רְתִּי בַלַּ֣יְלָה שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָ֑ה	55a	I remember your name in the night, YHWH,
וָֽ֝אֶשְׁמְרָ֗ה תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃	55b	and I keep your teaching.
זֹ֥את הָֽיְתָה־לִּ֑י	56a	This has become mine:
כִּ֖י פִקֻּדֶ֣יךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃	56b	that I have kept your precepts.
חֶלְקִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה	57a	My lot is YHWH.
אָמַ֗רְתִּי	57b	I commit
לִשְׁמֹ֥ר דְּבָרֶֽיךָ׃	57c	to keeping your words.
חִלִּ֣יתִי פָנֶ֣יךָ בְכָל־לֵ֑ב	58a	I have entreated your favor with a whole heart.
חָ֝נֵּ֗נִי כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃	58b	Be gracious to me according to your promise!
חִשַּׁ֥בְתִּי דְרָכָ֑י	59a	I considered my ways
וָאָשִׁ֥יבָה רַ֝גְלַ֗י אֶל־עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃	59b	and turned my feet to your testimonies.
חַ֭שְׁתִּי	60a	I hurried
וְלֹ֣א הִתְמַהְמָ֑הְתִּי	60b	and did not delay
לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	60c	in keeping your commands.
חֶבְלֵ֣י רְשָׁעִ֣ים עִוְּדֻ֑נִי	61a	The ropes of traps laid by wicked people have surrounded me.
תּֽ֝וֹרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃	61b	I have not forgotten your teaching.
חֲצֽוֹת־לַ֗יְלָה אָ֭קוּם	62a	I get up at midnight
לְהוֹד֣וֹת לָ֑ךְ עַ֝֗ל מִשְׁפְּטֵ֥י צִדְקֶֽךָ׃	62b	to praise you for your just rules.
חָבֵ֣ר אָ֭נִי לְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְרֵא֑וּךָ וּ֝לְשֹׁמְרֵ֗י פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃	63	I am a friend to all who fear you and to those who keep your precepts.
חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְ֭הוָה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָ֗רֶץ	64a	YHWH, the earth is full of your faithfulness.
חֻקֶּ֥יךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃	64b	Teach me your purposes.
ט֭וֹב עָשִׂ֣יתָ עִֽם־עַבְדְּךָ֑ יְ֝הוָ֗ה כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃	65	You have done good to your servant, YHWH, according to your promise.
ט֤וּב טַ֣עַם וָדַ֣עַת לַמְּדֵ֑נִי	66a	Teach me goodness, that is, discernment and knowledge,
כִּ֖י בְמִצְוֺתֶ֣יךָ הֶאֱמָֽנְתִּי׃	66b	because I believe in your commands.
טֶ֣רֶם אֶ֭עֱנֶה	67a	Before I was afflicted,
אֲנִ֣י שֹׁגֵ֑ג	67b	I was going astray,
וְ֝עַתָּ֗ה אִמְרָתְךָ֥ שָׁמָֽרְתִּי׃	67c	but now I have kept your word.
טוֹב־אַתָּ֥ה	68a	You are good
וּמֵטִ֗יב	68b	and you are one who does good.
לַמְּדֵ֥נִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	68c	Teach me your purposes.
טָפְל֬וּ עָלַ֣י שֶׁ֣קֶר זֵדִ֑ים	69a	Arrogant people have covered me in lies.
אֲ֝נִ֗י בְּכָל־לֵ֤ב ׀ אֱצֹּ֬ר פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃	69b	I keep your precepts with a whole heart.
טָפַ֣שׁ כַּחֵ֣לֶב לִבָּ֑ם	70a	Their heart is insensitive like animal fat.
אֲ֝נִ֗י תּוֹרָתְךָ֥ שִֽׁעֲשָֽׁעְתִּי׃	70b	I delight in your teaching.
טֽוֹב־לִ֥י	71a	It was good for me
כִֽי־עֻנֵּ֑יתִי	71b	that I was afflicted,
לְ֝מַ֗עַן אֶלְמַ֥ד חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	71c	so that I would learn your purposes.
טֽוֹב־לִ֥י תֽוֹרַת־פִּ֑יךָ מֵ֝אַלְפֵ֗י זָהָ֥ב וָכָֽסֶף׃	72	The teaching which proceeds from your mouth is better for me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
יָדֶ֣יךָ עָ֭שׂוּנִי וַֽיְכוֹנְנ֑וּנִי	73a	Your hands made me and established me.
הֲ֝בִינֵ֗נִי	73b	Give me understanding,
וְאֶלְמְדָ֥ה מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	73c	so that I will learn your commands.
יְרֵאֶ֣יךָ יִרְא֣וּנִי וְיִשְׂמָ֑חוּ	74a	Those who fear you will see me and rejoice,
כִּ֖י לִדְבָרְךָ֥ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃	74b	because I hoped in your word.
יָ֭דַעְתִּי יְהוָ֗ה כִּֽי־צֶ֣דֶק מִשְׁפָּטֶ֑יךָ	75a	I know, YHWH, that your judgments are just,
וֶ֝אֱמוּנָ֗ה עִנִּיתָֽנִי׃	75b	and with faithfulness you have afflicted me.
יְֽהִי־נָ֣א חַסְדְּךָ֣ לְנַחֲמֵ֑נִי	76a	Please let your loyal love be for my comfort,
כְּאִמְרָתְךָ֥ לְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃	76b	according to your promise to your servant.
יְבֹא֣וּנִי רַחֲמֶ֣יךָ וְאֶחְיֶ֑ה	77a	Let your compassion come to me so that I will live,
כִּֽי־תוֹרָתְךָ֥ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃	77b	because your teaching is my delight.
יֵבֹ֣שׁוּ זֵ֭דִים כִּי־שֶׁ֣קֶר עִוְּת֑וּנִי	78a	Let the arrogant be ashamed, because they have perverted me with lies.
אֲ֝נִ֗י אָשִׂ֥יחַ בְּפִקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃	78b	I meditate on your precepts.
יָשׁ֣וּבוּ לִ֣י יְרֵאֶ֑יךָ	79a	Let those who fear you return to me,
וְ֝יֹדְעֵ֗י עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃	79b	even those who know your testimonies.
יְהִֽי־לִבִּ֣י תָמִ֣ים בְּחֻקֶּ֑יךָ	80a	Let my heart be blameless in your purposes,
לְ֝מַ֗עַן לֹ֣א אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃	80b	so that I will not be ashamed.
כָּלְתָ֣ה לִתְשׁוּעָתְךָ֣ נַפְשִׁ֑י	81a	My soul has wasted away for need of your salvation.
לִדְבָרְךָ֥ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃	81b	I hope in your words.
כָּל֣וּ עֵ֭ינַי לְאִמְרָתֶ֑ךָ	82a	My eyes pine for your promise,
לֵ֝אמֹ֗ר מָתַ֣י תְּנַחֲמֵֽנִי׃	82b	saying, "When will you comfort me?"
כִּי־הָיִ֣יתִי כְּנֹ֣אד בְּקִיט֑וֹר	83a	For I have become like a waterskin in smoke.
חֻ֝קֶּיךָ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃	83b	I have not forgotten your purposes.
כַּ֭מָּה יְמֵ֣י עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ	84a	How many are the days of your servant?
מָתַ֣י תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה בְרֹדְפַ֥י מִשְׁפָּֽט׃	84b	When will you do justice on my persecutors?
כָּרֽוּ־לִ֤י זֵדִ֣ים שִׁיח֣וֹת	85a	Arrogant people have dug pitfalls for me,
אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹ֣א כְתוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃	85b	those who are not in accordance with your teaching.
כָּל־מִצְוֺתֶ֥יךָ אֱמוּנָ֑ה	86a	All your commands are faithful.
שֶׁ֣קֶר רְדָפ֑וּנִי עָזְרֵֽנִי׃	86b	They persecute me falsely. Help me!
כִּ֭מְעַט כִּלּ֣וּנִי בָאָ֑רֶץ	87a	They have almost finished me off in the earth.
וַ֝אֲנִ֗י לֹא־עָזַ֥בְתִּי פִקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃	87b	But I have not forsaken your precepts.
כְּחַסְדְּךָ֥ חַיֵּ֑נִי	88a	Keep me alive according to your loyal love,
וְ֝אֶשְׁמְרָ֗ה עֵד֥וּת פִּֽיךָ׃	88b	so that I will keep the testimony of your mouth.
לְעוֹלָ֣ם יְ֭הוָה	89a	Forever, YHWH,
דְּבָֽרְךָ֥ נִצָּ֥ב בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃	89b	your word is standing firm in the heavens.
לְדֹ֣ר וָ֭דֹר אֱמֽוּנָתֶ֑ךָ	90a	Your faithfulness is to generation after generation.
כּוֹנַ֥נְתָּ אֶ֝֗רֶץ וַתַּעֲמֹֽד׃	90b	You established the earth and it stands firm.
לְֽמִשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ עָמְד֣וּ הַיּ֑וֹם	91a	They stand firm to your judgments today,
כִּ֖י הַכֹּ֣ל עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃	91b	because all things are your servants.
לוּלֵ֣י תוֹרָתְךָ֣ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָ֑י	92a	If your teaching were not my delight,
אָ֝בַ֗דְתִּי בְּעָנְיִֽי׃	92b	then I would have perished in my suffering.
לְעוֹלָם֮ לֹא־אֶשְׁכַּ֪ח פִּקּוּדֶ֗יךָ	93a	I will never forget your precepts,
כִּ֣י בָ֭ם חִיִּיתָֽנִי׃	93b	because by them you have kept me alive.
לְךָֽ־אֲ֭נִי הוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי	94a	I am yours. Save me,
כִּ֖י פִקּוּדֶ֣יךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃	94b	because I care about your precepts.
לִ֤י קִוּ֣וּ רְשָׁעִ֣ים לְאַבְּדֵ֑נִי	95a	Wicked people lie in wait for me to destroy me.
עֵדֹתֶ֥יךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָֽן׃	95b	I consider your testimonies.
לְכָל־תִּכְלָ֥ה רָאִ֣יתִי קֵ֑ץ	96a	I have seen a limit to all perfection.
רְחָבָ֖ה מִצְוָתְךָ֣ מְאֹֽד׃	96b	Your command is very broad.
מָה־אָהַ֥בְתִּי תוֹרָתֶ֑ךָ	97a	How I love your teaching!
כָּל־הַ֝יּ֗וֹם הִ֣יא שִׂיחָתִֽי׃	97b	It is my meditation all day.
*מֵ֭אֹ֣יְבַי תְּחַכְּמֵ֣נִי *מִצְוָתֶךָ	98a	Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,
כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם הִיא־לִֽי׃	98b	because it is forever mine.
מִכָּל־מְלַמְּדַ֥י הִשְׂכַּ֑לְתִּי	99a	I have more understanding than all my teachers,
כִּ֤י עֵדְוֺתֶ֖יךָ שִׂ֣יחָה לִּֽי׃	99b	because your testimonies are a meditation for me.
