אַשְׁרֵ֥י תְמִֽימֵי־דָ֑רֶךְ הַֽ֝הֹלְכִ֗ים בְּתוֹרַ֥ת יְהוָֽה׃	1.1	The happiness of those blameless in their way, of those walking in the teaching of YHWH!
אַ֭שְׁרֵי נֹצְרֵ֥י עֵדֹתָ֗יו	2.1	The happiness of those keeping his testimonies!
בְּכָל־לֵ֥ב יִדְרְשֽׁוּהוּ׃	2.2	They seek him with a whole heart.
אַ֭ף לֹֽא־פָעֲל֣וּ עַוְלָ֑ה	3.1	Also, they have not done injustice.
בִּדְרָכָ֥יו הָלָֽכוּ׃	3.2	They have walked in his ways.
אַ֭תָּה צִוִּ֥יתָה פִקֻּדֶ֗יךָ	4.1	You have commanded your precepts,
לִשְׁמֹ֥ר מְאֹֽד׃	4.2	so that people fully keep them.
אַ֭חֲלַי יִכֹּ֥נוּ דְרָכָ֗י	5.1	I pray that my ways might be committed
לִשְׁמֹ֥ר חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	5.2	so that I keep your purposes.
אָ֥ז לֹא־אֵב֑וֹשׁ	6.1	Then I will not be ashamed
בְּ֝הַבִּיטִ֗י אֶל־כָּל־מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	6.2	when I consider all of your commands.
א֭וֹדְךָ בְּיֹ֣שֶׁר לֵבָ֑ב	7.1	I will praise you with a sincere heart
בְּ֝לָמְדִ֗י מִשְׁפְּטֵ֥י צִדְקֶֽךָ׃	7.2	when I learn your righteous rules.
אֶת־חֻקֶּ֥יךָ אֶשְׁמֹ֑ר	8.1	I will keep your purposes.
אַֽל־תַּעַזְבֵ֥נִי עַד־מְאֹֽד׃	8.2	Do not forsake me at all!
בַּמֶּ֣ה יְזַכֶּה־נַּ֭עַר אֶת־אָרְח֑וֹ	9.1	How will a young man keep his way pure?
לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃	9.2	By keeping it according to your words.
בְּכָל־לִבִּ֥י דְרַשְׁתִּ֑יךָ	10.1	I have sought you with all my heart.
אַל־תַּ֝שְׁגֵּ֗נִי מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	10.2	Do not let me stray from your commands!
בְּ֭לִבִּי צָפַ֣נְתִּי אִמְרָתֶ֑ךָ	11.1	I have treasured your promise in my heart,
לְ֝מַ֗עַן לֹ֣א אֶֽחֱטָא־לָֽךְ׃	11.2	so that I might not sin against you.
בָּר֖וּךְ אַתָּ֥ה יְהוָ֗ה	12.1	You are blessed, YHWH.
לַמְּדֵ֥נִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	12.2	Teach me your purposes.
בִּשְׂפָתַ֥י סִפַּ֑רְתִּי כֹּ֝֗ל מִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיךָ׃	13.1	With my lips I have proclaimed all the rules that come from your mouth.
בְּדֶ֖רֶךְ עֵדְוֺתֶ֥יךָ שַׂ֗שְׂתִּי כְּעַ֣ל כָּל־הֽוֹן׃	14.1	I rejoice in the way of your testimonies as one rejoicing over all wealth!
בְּפִקֻּדֶ֥יךָ אָשִׂ֑יחָה	15.1	Let me meditate on your precepts
וְ֝אַבִּ֗יטָה אֹרְחֹתֶֽיךָ׃	15.2	and let me consider your ways.
בְּחֻקֹּתֶ֥יךָ אֶֽשְׁתַּעֲשָׁ֑ע	16.1	I will delight in your purposes.
לֹ֭א אֶשְׁכַּ֣ח דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃	16.2	I will not forget your words.
גְּמֹ֖ל עַֽל־עַבְדְּךָ֥	17.1	Deal fairly with your servant,
אֶֽחְיֶ֗ה	17.2	so that I will live
וְאֶשְׁמְרָ֥ה דְבָרֶֽךָ׃	17.3	and I will keep your words.
גַּל־עֵינַ֥י	18.1	Open my eyes,
וְאַבִּ֑יטָה נִ֝פְלָא֗וֹת מִתּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃	18.2	so that I will see wonderful things from your teaching.
גֵּ֣ר אָנֹכִ֣י בָאָ֑רֶץ	19.1	I am a sojourner in the land.
אַל־תַּסְתֵּ֥ר מִ֝מֶּ֗נִּי מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	19.2	Do not hide your commands from me.
גָּרְסָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֣י לְתַאֲבָ֑ה אֶֽל־מִשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ בְכָל־עֵֽת׃	20.1	My soul is consumed with longing for your judgments all the time.
גָּ֭עַרְתָּ זֵדִ֣ים אֲרוּרִ֑ים הַ֝שֹּׁגִים מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	21.1	You have rebuked the arrogant people, cursed ones, those who abandon your commands.
*גֹּל* מֵֽ֭עָלַי חֶרְפָּ֣ה וָב֑וּז	22.1	Take insult and contempt away from me,
כִּ֖י עֵדֹתֶ֣יךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃	22.2	because I have kept your testimonies.
גַּ֤ם יָֽשְׁב֣וּ שָׂ֭רִים	23.1	Also, leaders have been sitting
בִּ֣י נִדְבָּ֑רוּ	23.2	and speaking together against me.
עַ֝בְדְּךָ֗ יָשִׂ֥יחַ בְּחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	23.3	Your servant meditates on your purposes.
גַּֽם־עֵ֭דֹתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָ֗י אַנְשֵׁ֥י עֲצָתִֽי׃	24.1	Indeed, your testimonies are my delight, my advisers.
דָּֽבְקָ֣ה לֶעָפָ֣ר נַפְשִׁ֑י	25.1	My life sticks to the dust.
חַ֝יֵּ֗נִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃	25.2	Keep me alive according to your promise!
דְּרָכַ֣י סִ֭פַּרְתִּי	26.1	I declared my ways
וַֽתַּעֲנֵ֗נִי	26.2	and you answered me.
לַמְּדֵ֥נִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	26.3	Teach me your purposes.
דֶּֽרֶךְ־פִּקּוּדֶ֥יךָ הֲבִינֵ֑נִי	27.1	Give me understanding of the way of your precepts,
וְ֝אָשִׂ֗יחָה בְּנִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃	27.2	so that I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.
דָּלְפָ֣ה נַ֭פְשִׁי מִתּוּגָ֑ה	28.1	I weep from grief.
קַ֝יְּמֵ֗נִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃	28.2	Lift me up according to your promise.
דֶּֽרֶךְ־שֶׁ֭קֶר הָסֵ֣ר מִמֶּ֑נִּי	29.1	Remove any disloyal ways from me
וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ֥ חָנֵּֽנִי׃	29.2	and be gracious to me with your teaching.
דֶּֽרֶךְ־אֱמוּנָ֥ה בָחָ֑רְתִּי	30.1	I have chosen a faithful way.
מִשְׁפָּטֶ֥יךָ שִׁוִּֽיתִי׃	30.2	I have set your rules before me.
דָּבַ֥קְתִּי בְעֵֽדְוֺתֶ֑יךָ	31.1	I cling to your testimonies.
יְ֝הוָ֗ה אַל־תְּבִישֵֽׁנִי׃	31.2	YHWH, do not let me be shamed.
דֶּֽרֶךְ־מִצְוֺתֶ֥יךָ אָר֑וּץ	32.1	I run along the path of your commands,
כִּ֖י תַרְחִ֣יב לִבִּֽי׃	32.2	because you broaden my understanding.
הוֹרֵ֣נִי יְ֭הוָה דֶּ֥רֶךְ חֻקֶּ֗יךָ	33.1	Teach me, YHWH, the way of your purposes,
וְאֶצְּרֶ֥נָּה עֵֽקֶב׃	33.2	so that I will keep it to the end.
הֲ֭בִינֵנִי	34.1	Give me understanding
וְאֶצְּרָ֥ה תֽוֹרָתֶ֗ךָ	34.2	so that I will keep your teaching
וְאֶשְׁמְרֶ֥נָּה בְכָל־לֵֽב׃	34.3	and I will observe it with a whole heart.
הַ֭דְרִיכֵנִי בִּנְתִ֣יב מִצְוֺתֶ֑יךָ	35.1	Guide me in the path of your commands,
כִּי־ב֥וֹ חָפָֽצְתִּי׃	35.2	for I delight in it.
הַט־לִ֭בִּי אֶל־עֵדְוֺתֶ֗יךָ	36.1	Turn my heart to your testimonies
וְאַ֣ל אֶל־בָּֽצַע׃	36.2	and not to unjust gain.
הַעֲבֵ֣ר עֵ֭ינַי	37.1	Turn my eyes away
מֵרְא֣וֹת שָׁ֑וְא	37.2	from seeing futile things.
*כִּדְבָרְךָ* חַיֵּֽנִי׃	37.3	Keep me alive according to your word.
הָקֵ֣ם לְ֭עַבְדְּךָ אִמְרָתֶ֑ךָ	38.1	Fulfill for your servant your promise,
אֲ֝שֶׁ֗ר לְיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃	38.2	which is designed for the fear of you.
הַעֲבֵ֣ר חֶ֭רְפָּתִי	39.1	Turn away insults directed towards me,
אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָגֹ֑רְתִּי	39.2	which I fear,
כִּ֖י מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ טוֹבִֽים׃	39.3	because your judgments are good.
הִ֭נֵּה תָּאַ֣בְתִּי לְפִקֻּדֶ֑יךָ	40.1	Look, I long for your precepts.
בְּצִדְקָתְךָ֥ חַיֵּֽנִי׃	40.2	Keep me alive by your justice.
וִֽיבֹאֻ֣נִי חֲסָדֶ֣ךָ יְהוָ֑ה	41.1	Now, let your loyal acts come to me, YHWH;
תְּ֝שֽׁוּעָתְךָ֗ כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃	41.2	[let] your salvation [come to me] according to your promise,
וְאֶֽעֱנֶ֣ה חֹרְפִ֣י דָבָ֑ר	42.1	so that I will answer a word to those insulting me,
כִּֽי־בָ֝טַחְתִּי בִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃	42.2	because I trust in your words.
וְֽאַל־תַּצֵּ֬ל מִפִּ֣י דְבַר־אֱמֶ֣ת עַד־מְאֹ֑ד	43.1	And do not take true words out of my mouth at all,
כִּ֖י לְמִשְׁפָּטֶ֣ךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃	43.2	– because I hope in your judgments –
וְאֶשְׁמְרָ֖ה תוֹרָתְךָ֥ תָמִ֗יד לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃	44.1	so that I will keep your teaching always, forever and ever,
וְאֶתְהַלְּכָ֥ה בָרְחָבָ֑ה	45.1	so that I will live at ease
כִּ֖י פִקֻּדֶ֣יךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃	45.2	– because I care about your precepts –
וַאֲדַבְּרָ֣ה בְ֭עֵדֹתֶיךָ נֶ֥גֶד מְלָכִ֗ים	46.1	so that I will speak about your testimonies before kings
וְלֹ֣א אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃	46.2	and I will not be ashamed,
וְאֶשְׁתַּֽעֲשַׁ֥ע בְּמִצְוֺתֶ֗יךָ	47.1	so that I will delight in your commands,
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָהָֽבְתִּי׃	47.2	which I love,
וְאֶשָּֽׂא־כַפַּ֗י אֶֽל־מִ֭צְוֺתֶיךָ	48.1	so that I will lift my hands to your commands,
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָהָ֗בְתִּי	48.2	which I love,
וְאָשִׂ֥יחָה בְחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	48.3	and I will meditate on your purposes.
זְכֹר־דָּבָ֥ר לְעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ	49.1	Remember the promise for your servant
עַ֝֗ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִֽחַלְתָּֽנִי׃	49.2	in which you have caused me to hope.
זֹ֣את נֶחָמָתִ֣י בְעָנְיִ֑י	50.1	This is my consolation in my suffering:
כִּ֖י אִמְרָתְךָ֣ חִיָּֽתְנִי׃	50.2	that your word has kept me alive.
זֵ֭דִים הֱלִיצֻ֣נִי עַד־מְאֹ֑ד	51.1	Arrogant people have completely derided me.
מִ֝תּֽוֹרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א נָטִֽיתִי׃	51.2	I have not turned from your teaching.
זָ֘כַ֤רְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶ֖יךָ	52.1	I remember your decisions,
מֵעוֹלָ֥ם ׀ יְהוָ֗ה	52.2	which are from eternity, YHWH
וָֽאֶתְנֶחָֽם׃	52.3	and I am comforted.
זַלְעָפָ֣ה אֲ֭חָזַתְנִי מֵרְשָׁעִ֑ים עֹ֝זְבֵ֗י תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃	53.1	Rage has seized me because of wicked people, those who reject your teaching.
זְ֭מִרוֹת הָֽיוּ־לִ֥י חֻקֶּ֗יךָ בְּבֵ֣ית מְגוּרָֽי׃	54.1	Your decrees have become my songs during my sojourning.
זָ֘כַ֤רְתִּי בַלַּ֣יְלָה שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָ֑ה	55.1	I remember your name in the night, YHWH,
וָֽ֝אֶשְׁמְרָ֗ה תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃	55.2	and I keep your teaching.
זֹ֥את הָֽיְתָה־לִּ֑י	56.1	This has become mine:
כִּ֖י פִקֻּדֶ֣יךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃	56.2	that I have kept your precepts.
חֶלְקִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה	57.1	My lot is YHWH.
אָמַ֗רְתִּי	57.2	I commit
לִשְׁמֹ֥ר דְּבָרֶֽיךָ׃	57.3	to keeping your words.
חִלִּ֣יתִי פָנֶ֣יךָ בְכָל־לֵ֑ב	58.1	I have entreated your favor with a whole heart.
חָ֝נֵּ֗נִי כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃	58.2	Be gracious to me according to your promise!
חִשַּׁ֥בְתִּי דְרָכָ֑י	59.1	I considered my ways
וָאָשִׁ֥יבָה רַ֝גְלַ֗י אֶל־עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃	59.2	and turned my feet to your testimonies.
חַ֭שְׁתִּי	60.1	I hurried
וְלֹ֣א הִתְמַהְמָ֑הְתִּי	60.2	and did not delay
לִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	60.3	in keeping your commands.
חֶבְלֵ֣י רְשָׁעִ֣ים עִוְּדֻ֑נִי	61.1	The ropes of traps laid by wicked people have surrounded me.
תּֽ֝וֹרָתְךָ֗ לֹ֣א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃	61.2	I have not forgotten your teaching.
חֲצֽוֹת־לַ֗יְלָה אָ֭קוּם	62.1	I get up at midnight
לְהוֹד֣וֹת לָ֑ךְ עַ֝֗ל מִשְׁפְּטֵ֥י צִדְקֶֽךָ׃	62.2	to praise you for your just rules.
חָבֵ֣ר אָ֭נִי לְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְרֵא֑וּךָ וּ֝לְשֹׁמְרֵ֗י פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃	63.1	I am a friend to all who fear you and to those who keep your precepts.
חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְ֭הוָה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָ֗רֶץ	64.1	YHWH, the earth is full of your faithfulness.
חֻקֶּ֥יךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃	64.2	Teach me your purposes.
ט֭וֹב עָשִׂ֣יתָ עִֽם־עַבְדְּךָ֑ יְ֝הוָ֗ה כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃	65.1	You have done good to your servant, YHWH, according to your promise.
ט֤וּב טַ֣עַם וָדַ֣עַת לַמְּדֵ֑נִי	66.1	Teach me goodness, that is, discernment and knowledge,
כִּ֖י בְמִצְוֺתֶ֣יךָ הֶאֱמָֽנְתִּי׃	66.2	because I believe in your commands.
טֶ֣רֶם אֶ֭עֱנֶה	67.1	Before I was afflicted,
אֲנִ֣י שֹׁגֵ֑ג	67.2	I was going astray,
וְ֝עַתָּ֗ה אִמְרָתְךָ֥ שָׁמָֽרְתִּי׃	67.3	but now I have kept your word.
טוֹב־אַתָּ֥ה	68.1	You are good
וּמֵטִ֗יב	68.2	and you are one who does good.
לַמְּדֵ֥נִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	68.3	Teach me your purposes.
טָפְל֬וּ עָלַ֣י שֶׁ֣קֶר זֵדִ֑ים	69.1	Arrogant people have covered me in lies.
אֲ֝נִ֗י בְּכָל־לֵ֤ב ׀ אֱצֹּ֬ר פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃	69.2	I keep your precepts with a whole heart.
טָפַ֣שׁ כַּחֵ֣לֶב לִבָּ֑ם	70.1	Their heart is insensitive like animal fat.
אֲ֝נִ֗י תּוֹרָתְךָ֥ שִֽׁעֲשָֽׁעְתִּי׃	70.2	I delight in your teaching.
טֽוֹב־לִ֥י	71.1	It was good for me
כִֽי־עֻנֵּ֑יתִי	71.2	that I was afflicted,
לְ֝מַ֗עַן אֶלְמַ֥ד חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃	71.3	so that I would learn your purposes.
טֽוֹב־לִ֥י תֽוֹרַת־פִּ֑יךָ מֵ֝אַלְפֵ֗י זָהָ֥ב וָכָֽסֶף׃	72.1	The teaching which proceeds from your mouth is better for me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
יָדֶ֣יךָ עָ֭שׂוּנִי וַֽיְכוֹנְנ֑וּנִי	73.1	Your hands made me and established me.
הֲ֝בִינֵ֗נִי	73.2	Give me understanding
וְאֶלְמְדָ֥ה מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃	73.3	so that I learn your commands.
