Nothing is Hidden
In Psalm 19 David looks up at the flaming sun in the sky, feels its warmth, and proclaims
"nothing is hidden from its heat" (v. 7). Immediately after he then begins to speak about the Torah, YHWH's instruction. He says the "YHWH’s instruction (Torah) is perfect, restoring life" (v. 8). The sun and the Torah. Some have argued that there is no connection between these two. They think Psalm 19 may have originally been two psalms which people later combined; one psalm about the sun in the sky, and one psalm about the Torah. But what if the connection between the sun and the Torah is in fact the key that unlocks the whole psalm?Overview + Background + Participants + Structure
